Thank you for sharing this. Today has been another 'why' day. Christianity is hard, but He hasn't left me, and I haven't left Him. And we pray for one another and cherish the hope He gives us. God bless!
Hi Katie, ran across this article and bookmarked it. Amen. It is my desire to have my life reflect the three goals you stated. With my heart in my throat, I say, Not my will-yours. I’ll take what you give.
I love the paragraph about God hating death. Actually, I loved it all. Thank you.
This past month I have been getting attacked by rulers , powers , and authorities (Ephesians 6:10-18). The vessel in which they are using to attack me is the first man I have ever loved ! He said very horrendous things to me and it was beginning to make me afraid because people kept telling me that he might kill me . I have been trying to read the Bible starting from the beginning and I have been stuck in Genesis 15 and today I read “Some time later, the Lord spoke to Abram in a vision and said to him, “Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great.””Genesis 15:1 . Isn’t that amazing ? He literally knew I needed to hear that and see that ! I had never acknowledge that no matter how many times I read Genesis but GOD IS GOOD !!!
So cool! The Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12)! Yes I am always astounded at how I can read the same scriptures over and over again and one day the Lord uses to something to speak directly to me too. Also; thank you for reading♥️
This is profound. It is not just that faith is tested through suffering, but that you could articulate this so well through your own journey. The end of life questions God gave you could be, and probably should be, asked at the end of each day. Lord, help us to embrace the trials as James said. We don’t know all the why’s, but we can trust that no pain is wasted when handed back to you.
Yes just read it! Such amazing evidence of the Holy Spirit when He leads us to a certain mindset or conclusion that is already written in scripture!😍 so wild
It’s so true that we long for comfort and ease in this life, though we are promised suffering. It also reminds me of 1 Peter 4 — ”Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.“ Your words are healing to so many mamas who have lost.
Oo I knew I was forgetting another verse from 1 Peter! I’ll have to go back and edit to add that one 😄 and thank you soo much Kathy. Your words mean a lot to me🥹♥️
Thank you so much Mary. Saying “not my will but Yours, Lord” is one of the hardest prayers. I have prayed that one many times through tears. Thank you for reading and commenting♥️

Scriptures the Lord has used to help me in trials
Psalm 73
1 John 1:5
Hebrews 13:8
The story of how Jesus met me last year in a trial is too long to post here, so if you want to read the story, let me know and I’ll email you
