When I was 19, I was struggling with suicidal thoughts. I wanted to crash my car off a bridge. Obviously that didn't happen. It was was a little under ten years later the Lord revealed to me that He was beside me in the passenger seat weeping with me and stopping me from killing myself. Praise God.

There's a part of me that wishes I gave myself to Christ that same day. Lukewarm would be too generous of a label to describe me. Prodigal, more like.

But what a grace it is to reflect on our past and see how the Lord works in our lives! I'm happy you see the same in yours, and I pray that whoever reads this has the same happen to them.

Glory to Jesus Christ.

What a testimony Brian! That is amazing. Praise the Lord. I too have survived suicide attempts, and it’s wild and beautiful to be on the other side now and to see God’s hand in it all. Heaven rejoices that you are not lukewarm or prodigal anymore😄 thank you for reading and sharing.

I would like to tell you something Katie; Jesus knew you before you were even born and He called you for such a time as this! I’ve had words spoken over me and had still looked back but one time, almost 15 years ago, I was going through Cleansing Streams (a ministry in Colorado), and some people who were praying over me wrote down what the Lord had spoken to them about me; I found that note last night and this morning in church the sermon was about words being spoken and the woman was told to hold on to them, which she did even though it seemed that there was no way that what she was told would happen and today she can say confidently what God has said,He will perform. And the note, I found last night in the front of my bible that says “you are marked as a child of God” , I wouldn’t have believed 4 years ago, and didn’t even think God would welcome me back; I believed that I was going to die and go to hell! This is, was, and always will be the absolute grace of God

Many don't understand that it isn't the sinful televangelist, or the sinful postman, or even the random stranger who saves a person, but Jesus. Who knows, maybe postmen or random strangers will one day have the horrible reputation televangelists have now. But no matter, they won't save you then, either.

What a lovely testimony Katie! So glad that you shared it. In 1993, I had a supernatural experience where I heard an audible voice from God that ultimately changed the course of my life. It happened just hours after I heard a sermon about "hearing God's voice" which was foreign to me since I was raised in a very religious denomination that was void of the Spirit. At the time, I was desperate for a change in my life and boy, DID I EVER GET ONE!

The change began when I decided to BELIEVE it was possible that God would speak to me, and then I asked God to speak to me. Jesus took that mustard seed of faith and by golly, within 2 hours I heard His voice (I the that story in my serialized memoir PET TRACKER in my Substack). The funniest part is that when I heard that audible voice, I was a sworn police officer who took people into protective custody when they claimed to hear voices from God! I didn't tell anyone at the time for fear of losing my job! Today, I share it any chance I get because I've been delivered from the fear of man. I hope you continue to share your healing story, even when you lose subscribers for doing so.

Wow, this is an incredible testimony Kat! My dad is 74 and in the last few years, he has also heard the Lord call him by name audibly. The Lord is pursuing him after a lifetime of my dad not following Jesus. My dad also told me that i would think he was crazy, but I said with Jesus, I’ll believe anything😂 thank you so much for reading and sharing your story😊♥️

Oh my - thank you for sharing your story. I too am grateful for such a loving, patient heavenly Father who loved & pursued me since a child. As I look back over almost 70 years of life, your words encourage & convict me. I will be thinking on your words for some time, & pray for God to reveal where I have denied Him, & to empower me to share the love of Jesus with those He brings across my path.

Thank you Katie.

What a beautiful miracle. There is something so divinely unique and beautiful about conversion to Jesus at such a young age. It's rare, but I also know that there are more young people being called to Him. Jesus calls out to them, and I believe it strongly. Thank you for sharing your miracle with Jesus, Katie. I loved this! 💛

Wow what a story and I love the way you wrote it and told it. I come from a very conservative non-charismatic reformed church, and like you did at that age, it's easy to scoff at these kinds of things. But God is amazing and is so much bigger and wiser and more powerful than we think and these stories remind me to not questions everything all the time (there's a time and place for sure!!) but to also just be at amazed at what God can do.

I have a similar past as you and I also wish I could go back and shake myself awake, save myself so much heartache. But hearing this story reminds me how determined He is to pursue us and win our hearts. Then, now, and for all of our lives!

That's an awesome testimony and so amazing that you are now His child. Even though Pat is gone,I'm sure the 700 club would LOVE to hear your testimony and never too late. And they record the broadcasts so there's a good chance they would find that one. Worth a try ! Thank you for sharing!!
